And ever since that day, the words echo in my head
So I take the guilt created and I put it on the shelf
Next to the old trophies that reflect my old self
It's been a whole seven months of the blood, sweat, and tears
And I even learned some lessons that'll last me some years
I learned If your heart is broken, don't text it through a phone
And if you already did, then home is where the hatred is

I'm just a down on his luck kinda guy
Who's too stubborn to change or even pray to the sky
The kind of guy who would say he's better off alone
Or in a van with his bros, always getting stoned

I'm a fairly average dude in need for better weather so I know whether or not, I let these girls run my thoughts, that that will determine the man in which I ought to be
